Fifteen years after its last triumph, the debate team of the School of Journalism and Communication has won the 23rd RUC Chinese Debate Tournament.
In the final the School of Finance was defeated after a closely fought, 50-minute contest.
Associate Professor Ma Shaohua said that students are much freer to showcase themselves outside the class room, which led to the stunning performance.
